Over the last year the Yakima Area Arboretum has proven just how important it is to our community. With the outbreak of Covid-19 everyone quickly learned that outdoor spaces, trails, parks, and public gardens are essential to our well-being and quality of life. Hundreds of people visit the Arboretum each week to connect with nature and to find the joy, peace and serenity they need to thrive.
The Arboretum is also one of Central Washington’s top tourist attractions. People travel from all over the northwest to learn about our curated collection of trees, shrubs and display gardens. And, all of this has been accomplished through its dedicated cadre of volunteers, board members, supporters, and staff.
If you love the Yakima Area Arboretum and all it has to offer, want to help sustain it for future generations, then please consider serving on its Board of Directors. We are currently looking for interested candidates.
Seat terms are three years and time commitments include monthly board meetings as well monthly sub-committee meetings and attending special events.
Are you ready to serve and help shape the future of the Yakima Area Arboretum?
