Stunning Views All Year

The lush landscape and seasonal colors of the Arboretum provide a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding. The crown jewel of the Arboretum, the Joyful Garden, features a wisteria gateway, tea house, pagoda, reflecting pond and waterfall. The Founder’s Courtyard, adjacent to the Jewett Interpretive Center, overlooks the Jewett Pond and fountain, and is an excellent choice for an evening of dining and dancing. 

Our wedding venue caters to nature lovers, offering an affordable and customizable experience.  Conveniently situated with easy access to the highway, we welcome party-goers from Yakima Valley and Central Washington. The Jewett Interpretive Center, with a total occupancy rate of 150 people between three spaces, features the Gardenview (seats 80 banquet style) and Solarium (seats 24 banquet style) rooms, joined together by the glass walled Atrium. The Solarium can be transformed into an on-site bridal suite for the wedding party to get ready.

Affordable Wedding Venue

Discover the perfect canvas for your special day at the Yakima Area Arboretum (YAA), where our versatile event space is complemented by a range of pricing packages to suit every budget and vision. Our most popular package, the Complete Wedding Venue Rental Package promises complete building and grounds access from 9am to 2am for $3,295.

Included in your rental fee:

  • 100 Indoor Banquet Chairs
  • 150 White Outdoor (Lawn) Ceremony Chairs
  • 200 White Outdoor (Folded) Reception Chairs
  • 20 – 5’ Round Tables (Seats 8)
  • 22 – 70”x30” Rectangle Tables (Seats 6)

Table and linen napkins are available to rent by pre-order. 

Also includes: 

  • Up to 4 hours in any area on the grounds for your ceremony (i.e., Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Big Willow Tree, etc.) 
  • Gardenview and Solarium reception rooms and Atrium welcome space 
  • Use of the Founder’s Courtyard 
  • Fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware for up to 125 guests 
  • Use of our tables and chairs 
  • Set-up / tear-down of tables and chairs (indoor only) 
  • Use of golf cart with restrictions

What We Offer

Customizable Experiences

The arboretum provides captivating charm while allowing you to personalize the venue to best fit your vision. We offer indoor setup, however each group is responsible for their own setup and clean-up of the outdoor space. Parties are invited to temporarily embellish (with restrictions) the venue to match your theme, though we find the natural beauty of the Arboretum requires very little extra decor.
