The Yakima Area Arboretum features over 1,100 labeled trees and woody plants, and over 300 roses.  We welcome you to explore our extensive plant collection via our online ArborPro interactive map and plant database.  ArborPro allows you to navigate the arboretum, locate special trees, and learn more about our living collections.

How to Use Arbor Pro Below

1. First Field – Google Search 
From the Google Search drop down menu select something to search. For example:
     ● Tribute – Search for a memorial tree or rose by your tribute’s name.
     ● Botanical Name – e.g. Acer griseum
     ● Common Name – e.g. Japanese Maple
     ● Area – Search for a specific section of the arboretum, like “Rose Garden”

2. Second Field — Search Database
Once you’ve chosen your search type, click or tap in the second field and type your search term:
     ● If you chose Tribute – enter the tribute’s name
     ● If you chose Common Name – type the plant name
     ● If you chose Botanical Name – type the scientific name  
     ● If you chose Area – type the garden or section name (e.g., Rose Garden)
3. Viewing Results
     ● As you type, matching results will appear in a dropdown list.
     ● Select the result you want, the map will zoom in on that location and add a red indicator around the plant you have chosen
     ● Click or tap the plants icon to view details such as botanical name, photos, and additional educational information

Please note that ArborPro is a live collections management system and is continuously updated behind the scenes by Arboretum staff and volunteers. Plant information may change as we add new records, make corrections, and improve data accuracy.
