For more than 50 years the Yakima Area Arboretum has been providing leadership, and environmental and nature education here in the Yakima Valley.  When you give to the Yakima Area Arboretum, you help to sustain its living collection of trees and other plants, you encourage children’s natural curiosity and love of nature, and you invest in the sustainability and quality of life in our community.

You can ensure that your support of the Yakima Area Arboretum lives on in perpetuity through the Legacy Giving Club.  Estate gifts given at any level make a lasting impact and build your own personal legacy!

Ways to Give

The Legacy Giving Club honors those individuals and families who have generously named the Yakima Area Arboretum as a beneficiary in their estate plans.   Gifts can come in many forms, here are a few popular examples:

  • By will or trust:
     I bequeath __________ (dollar amount or % of estate) to the Yakima Area Arboretum, a not-for-profit organization, located at 1401 Arboretum Drive, Yakima, WA  98901, in support of its growing tree and plant collections, community events, and educational programs.  Tax ID # 91-6073776.

Benefits of Membership

In an effort to preserve your legacy for the purpose it is intended, we have chosen a few simple ways to recognize your commitment. Each new member will receive a letter of thanks from the Executive Director, an ongoing subscription to the Arborescent newsletter, and invitations to Legacy Giving Club member events.

In addition to these small expressions of gratitude, we hope you will allow us to recognize you as a member of the Arboretum’s Legacy Giving Club in our annual reports and Arborescent newsletter. Lastly, as a member of the Legacy Giving Club, you will receive timely information, tips, and invitations to Yakima Area Arboretum events.

How to Join

Joining is easy, just include the Yakima Area Arboretum in your estate plans and let us know.  Gifts given at any level are welcome.

 

Your willingness to be listed as a member of the Legacy Giving Club also encourages others to follow your example.  We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis.
