Luncheons, Banquets, Receptions, & Meetings

The Jewett Center's flowing glass atrium offers a panoramic view of the botanical garden. As you enter the facility, a dramatic bell tower rises overhead.

The Jewett Center features two meeting rooms. The Gardenview Room (pictured at right) overlooks the flowering fruit tree grove. The airy Plath Solarium overlooks Jewett Pond. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through the grounds and enjoy the view close up.

Weddings & Other Garden Events

The botanical garden has been a favorite setting for outdoor events since the development of the Japanese Garden in the 1970s. The Japanese Garden features an ornamental pond and waterfall, an Oriental Teahouse, Pagoda, and exotic plants. Its welcoming gateway provides a romantic setting for your wedding or special event.

The Arboretum offers a special all-day wedding package on Saturdays, June through September. This includes use of the Japanese Garden and the Jewett Center. Contact the Arboretum for rates and details.

Rice: Throwing rice is a Japanese custom wishing good luck. Rice is permitted on the grass, but not on cement walkways. The Audubon Society assures us that rice does not harm birds. Birdseed may not be used because it sprouts weeds in the garden.

Building Access: Participants of outdoor events may use the restrooms in the Jewett Center.

Restrictions: The Arboretum reserves the right to limit group size.
